The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, located in Orlando, Florida inside of Islands of Adventure-Universal Studios is a must see! 

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter first opened in the summer of 2010 and has since been flooded with Harry Potter fans day and night. 

When I first started planning my trip to Orlando and the Wizarding World, I was confused on which park that I needed to purchase admittance tickets. To be able to drink butter beer, pumpkin juice and climb the inside of the Hogwarts Castle tickets must be purchased to Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure. Harry Potter is a section of that park and includes everything a Harry Potter fan can love. 

At the Wizarding World you can shop for robes, joke toys, candy and even be matched up with a wand that will choose you. Once you've shopped and tried some butter beer, you can head over to the Hogwarts Castle for an interactive ride that leads you through the castle. 

For anyone who's a Harry Potter fan, visiting the theme park is a definite must.

Planet Hollywood Orlando

Planet Hollywood Restaurants opened their doors to the public in 1992. Showcasing movie memorabilia from such films as The Terminator, Grease, Beverly Hills Cop, Speed and many more. Diners can experience a piece of Hollywood up close and personal while enjoying a meal. 

Planet Hollywood Orlando is located in Downtown Disney on Lake Buena Vista Drive and is open from 11:00a.m. - 1:00a.m daily. The bar area is open till 2:00 a.m. Most meals are reasonably priced and is a family friendly location.

The ceiling of PH Orlando is full of snap shots from movies past and present. Video clips and music videos used in films provide the background music to diners. 

Not only does Planet Hollywood have large items on display such as the bicycle from the film, The Truman Show. It also showcases smaller items like a dagger from the film, City Slickers.

Gatorland

One of my favorite places to visit every time I'm in Orlando, Florida is Gatorland.

I first went to Gatorland in the early 1990's and fell in love with the place. On my most recent trip in August I had the pleasure of adding to my Gatorland memories.

If you've never been to Gatorland then you're in for a unique experience! As soon as you walk through the gates you become surrounded by alligators, crocodiles turtles and other wildlife.

The reptiles are so close to you but far enough away for safety. Besides being able to walk around the grounds viewing the reptiles they also have a feeding show, a gator wrestling show and opportunities for the general public to feed them.

As I mentioned before, Gatorland has other wildlife animals on their property. Beautiful birds are spread out all over their property and have no problem being close to people. They're a great bonus to the alligators. The scenery is also wonderful.

Not only was Gatorland a fun place to spend the day, it was filled with friendly and helpful employees that made this day of travel a memorable one. Not traveling with family or friends? Who cares... you can have a great time here alone!

Gatorland is open daily 9:00am-5:00pm and is located on Highway 441 just North of Orlando.
